Injury Report: Healing Quickly

Looking back at my previous post, I’m amazed it’s only been two days since I wrote that. Things are moving along rapidly thanks to the help of PT and my new buddy Stretchy McStretchalot. Each day I wake up with a little less pain and stiffness. Stretching is progressing each day (hamstring stretches are still embarassing, but whatevs). I asked a few questions today expecting, “ooh, that doesn’t sound good” as a response, but I got, “ooh, good!” instead! Apparently the popping sound my back makes after sitting for a while is a good thing.

During PT today I rode the exercise bike for 10 minutes. It was like scratching an itch, albeit scratching it lightly. I also put in some weight lifting, twisting my midsection and working out my back and abs. It felt awesome to be working out again on any level. I’m learning a lot from this process which is dulling the cabin fever considerably.

I wont predict when I’ll be back on a bike because I don’t want the disappointment if I don’t hit that prediction. However, I know it wont be long. :)
